Bauhaus in Dessau relies on IKON Security Technology ASSA ABLOY component: VERSO CLIQ locking system Challenge: In 1925 Walter Gropius designed the legendary main Bauhaus building in Dessau. He separated the building sections according to their functions and configured them differently. The glazed workshop wing, the vocational school, and the five-storey studio building are the main elements of the complex. A bridge, which accommodated the administration and the architectural Office of Gropius, connects the workshop wing to the vocational training school. Solution: The VERSO®CLIQ locking system was used throughout the entire building. Every key has an integrated chip making it unique. As a result, keys can be programmed individually for each user. The versatility of VERSO®CLIQ is truly demonstrated when a key has been lost. Key access authorisations can be removed individually by reprogramming locking cylinders.
