Door closer range extended to include versions for double-leaf doors

 

ASSA ABLOY guide rail door closers are now also available for two-leaf doors. The company has thus extended its range and now offers door closers for almost all types of different uses. With their integrated door selector, guide rails are available for both overhead and concealed door closers.

This all-inclusive solution for two-leaf doors consists of a guide rail with a door selector, an electro-mechanical hold-open device and an integrated smoke switch. Depending on requirements, these door closers also come in versions without a smoke switch or with just the integrated door selector.  

Assa Abloy has ensured that these new products comply with national and international requirements, just like the other door closers it has already launched onto the market. For instance, the integrated door selector in the guide rail guarantees that the two doors are closed in the correct order. Product versions are also available for situations where there is a need to hold fire and smoke protection doors open on a permanent basis, so as not to hinder work routines and people passing through the doors concerned. The guide rail features an electromechanical hold-open device which is connected to a technically approved smoke alarm or fire alarm system and also allows both doors to be held open at an angle of 80 to 130 degrees.  The hold-open angle and the force required to disengage the door can be set according to the client’s individual needs. The hold-open device is traversable, meaning it does not limit the door’s opening angle. In the event of an emergency, such as the emission of fumes or smoke, the upstream monitoring system releases the hold-open mode, thus closing the door.

In addition to an electro-mechanical hold-open device and a door selector, this all-inclusive guide rail solution for two-leaf doors also includes an integrated smoke switch. In the event of an emergency, the smoke switch automatically closes the door. The smoke switch is based on an optical detection system which will identify any fume and smoke emissions near fire and smoke protection doors.

These guide rail door closers for two-leaf doors are suitable for fire barriers between 1,350 mm and 3,200 mm wide. Fitted to the hinge side of door frames, these door closers are also available in a wide range of RAL colours, thus giving doors a uniform, stylish appearance.
