ASSA ABLOY Sicherheitstechnik donates security lock to Local chapter of German Federal Agency for Technical Relief

There's one thing, the German Federal Agency for Technical Relief (THW) and ASSA ABLOY have in common: they are committed to the safety and security of people.

"A secure, customised access to the quarters is important to secure the operational readiness of the THW in Hechingen" explains Ronny Stocker, representative of the local THW in Hechingen, Germany. "We decided for the security lock 509X of ASSA ABLOY's brand effeff. The motorized lock can be combined with access control systems, it complies with the legal standards and it suits the individual requirements of the local THW."

Peter Maier from the ASSA ABLOY Sicherheitstechnik management established the contact to Norman Wittke, plant manager of ASSA ABLOY Sicherheitstechnik in Albstadt, Germany. "I used to work voluntary as representative of the local THW in Albstadt and therefore, I have good connections to the THW in Hechingen. The plant management agreed on supporting the project and donated the security lock to the local THW Hechingen."

"The value and the performance of voluntary organisations like the THW are often only recognised when you are affected personally and in need of their help. The volunteers are very committed and dedicate a huge part of their spare time for the collective good. We are pleased to support the local chapter with the donation and to contribute to more security, flexibility and convenience", says Peter Maier.
