Security 2008 with Record Values and High Internationality

Securely on course for success: 1,100 international exhibitors from 42 countries presented their products and services at Security, the global fair for security and fire protection. A new record value, just like the number of visitors: 40,850 guests from 115 countries came to Messe Essen on October 7-10 in order to obtain information about new solutions and to maintain business contacts.

More than contently is also the ASSA ABLOY Sicherheitstechnik Gmbh with the SECURITY of this year.
„It was the best Security, we ever participated in. Our exhibition stand was better visited than every time before", says Stefan Fischbach, Market Region Manager Central Europe.
"A highlight for our customers and us was the market launch of the Aperio technology, which is showed by us for the first time on the exhibition. The online RFID technology enables the integration of additional doors in existing online access control systems and was developed on group level.
We already showed the innovation power of our group with the development of the HiO technology. The innovative solution which makes the components of the door communicate with each other was also a subject in Essen.
We specially built up an example shop for our shop-in-shop concept to address the specialised trade."

Besides APERIO, ASSA ABLOY Sicherheitstechnik presented another innovative product based on the cooperation with another group company: Simon Shekel, president and market region  manager Mul-T-Lock Technologies, handed over symbolically the first R10 reversible key. "With the leading MT5® technology from Mul-T-Lock, Israel,
IKON completes his comprehensive portfolio of mechanical locking cylinders by an innovative reversible key system", explains Stefan Fischbach. On the German market, the product will be introduced as "R10" in two different profile types for different demands concerning security and complexity.
